시, 연말까지 지역 대학교·고등학교 27곳 찾아 참여방법 등 안내

광주시는 지난 12일 조선대를 시작으로, 17일 서영대학교에서 초기청년인 대학생을 대상으로 다양한 ‘초기청년 정책’에 대한 홍보활동을 펼쳤다.

또 개인정보 제공동의를 한 청년에게 매월 이달의 청년정책과 일자리, 교육, 복지 등 분야별 희망정책을 문자로 전송하는 서비스를 진행한다.

이 홍보활동은 광주시와 광주청년센터가 추진하고 있는 ‘찾아가는 청년정책’의 하나로 마련됐다. ‘찾아가는 청년정책’은 초기청년인 새내기 대학생을 대상으로 일자리, 주거, 교육, 복지·문화, 참여·권리 등 5대 분야 135개의 중앙부처와 지자체의 청년 정책을 알리기 위해 운영하고 있다.

시는 2025학년도 대학수학능력시험이 끝나는 11월 장덕고·전남고 등 지역 15개 고등학교 3학년을 대상으로 수능 이후 정책강의, 예비청년 웰컴 키트 등을 지원하는 예비청년 정책 홍보활동을 벌일 계획이다.

오인창 광주시 청년정책관은 “광주시의 청년정책 내용을 몰라서 활용하지 못하는 청년들이 없도록 광주청년정책플랫폼을 활용한 온라인 홍보와 찾아가는 홍보활동을 적극 펼쳐 청년들이 광주에서 잘 정착하도록 돕겠다”고 말했다.

한편 광주청년센터는 지난 1일 국무조정실에서 추진하는 ‘지역 거점 청년지원센터’로 지정됐다.

센터는 오는 2027년 3월까지 3년간 중앙과 지역을 연결하는 오프라인 청년정책 종합전달체계 기능과 지역 네트워크를 구축하는 역할 등을 하며 청년 정책 만족도를 높여나갈 계획이다.
